Each age division will play their respective games on the latter day of their two-day schedule.
Players with a Monday/Wednesday schedule will practice on Monday, play games on Wednesday.
Players with a Tuesday/Thursday schedule will practice on Tuesday, play games on Thursday.
If there are not enough registrations to make 2 full teams in each age/gender division the teams will be running a 3 on 3 developmental game in lieu in a typical 5 on 5 game. If RDMBA Refs are available to referee a 3 on 3 game they will be there for those applicable age groups as CABOA does not referee 3 on 3.
All players are required to have clean gym shoes and a water bottle at each practice. Practicing in socks, barefoot, or with outdoor shoes is not permitted.
Players should wear clothes that are comfortable and made for activity, such as a light t-shirt and shorts. All participating players will receive a reversible jersey or sport shirt from RDMBA as part of their registration.
U5 to U9 will receive a basketball and t-shirt to keep - this is included in their fees.
U11 and up will be provided basketballs and other equipment during their sessions that will not be allowed to be taken home. This was done in an effort to keep fees lower for the participants.

RDMBA follows Alberta Basketball guidelines for age divisions. This means age divisions are broken down by year of birth, not a "playing year". While other sports may segment players by age groupings up to a certain age, transitioning to grade-based age divisions, year based age divisions ensure consistency and simplicity, while employing fairness in player development and competition.
Players will not be permitted to play up a division without approval from the Board. It is not recommended that players play up a division, and stay within their division through 13U. Overage players are not permitted, per Alberta Basketball guidelines.
