• Playing time will be equal among all players through the first 3 periods. Coaches can use their discretion regarding playing time in the final quarter and in the event of extra periods. RDMBA recommends giving all players equal court time regardless, particularly for Robins teams. 

    • Ravens teams will have playing time based on the coaches discretion throughout the game.

  • CABOA officials will be present to referee U15 games.

  • No zone defense - players should be focused on player-to-player defense. (This is up to the coaches to enforce and not the officials.)

  • Double team/crowding is allowed, at the discretion of the coach.

  • Stealing from the dribbler may be permitted at the discretion of the coaches. 

  • Full-court pressure is permitted at the U15 level, unless the opposing team is up by 20 or more points at which point full court pressure must be stopped.

  • No zone pressing is permitted at the U15 level.  

  • Basketball Size:

    • Girls: Size 6

    • Boys: Size 7

  • 4 x 10:00 stop time quarters

    • Clock stops in the last 2:00 of the game after each score, unless the difference in the score is greater than 20 points.

  • Overtime is 3:00, with one time out per team per overtime.

  • Shot clock: 24 seconds, with officials providing a warning at 10 seconds.

  • 5:00 half time break

  • Each team will receive 2 time outs per half.

  • U15 team coaches must submit scores post-game using the Scores Submission Form. If playing a non-RDMBA team, RDMBA coaches are expected to submit the game scores regardless of home/away status. 

  • Hoops will be placed at 10’ (3m). If hoops are not marked, use best judgment or ask a facility host for assistance. Reminder: if hoops are adjusted, they must be returned to their original position at the end of the game.
