Playing time will be equal among all players. 

Games will be refereed by Coaches. Player development is our main focus at U5. Basic knowledge of the game will be coached throughout the scrimmage.

Basic skills will be taught - dribbling, passing, introductory defensive strategy, shooting.

Only player-to-player defense is permitted. No double team/crowding is allowed.

Stealing from the dribbler is not allowed.

No pressing is permitted.

Size of Basketball: 5

Hoops will be placed at  8’ (2.4m) or as low as 6' (1.8m). If hoops are not marked, use best judgment or ask a facility host for assistance. There will likely be U5 Hoops on Site.  Reminder: if hoops are adjusted, they must be returned to their original position at the end of the game.
